Your Manuscript and Hawthorne Books

As of December 31, 2009, Hawthorne Books will suspend our open submission policy. We have accumulated over a year's worth of backlogged manuscripts, and we need time to review those submissions before considering more. If you have already submitted your work, we will respond to it as soon as possible. If you haven't submitted anything yet, please wait until we re-open our submissions policy—we will not be able to read anything we receive after December 31. We are strong supporters of new writers and anticipate returning to an open submission policy after December of 2010. Thank you for understanding. Literary agents should contact us directly with queries during this time.
